add ability to show only tasks due today or in coming week#1457

I would love to use Google Tasks regularly for all things, but sadly whenever I open the app, my Task list is filled with tasks I have upcoming months in the future. There is no way to hide these tasks with a future date set and only show the currently-due tasks.

Therefore, I have to use two separate apps: Google Tasks for “upcoming” things, and a different app for “immediate to-do” things that I think of.

I know Google Keep reminders used to solve this issue, but ever since being folded into Tasks there is no longer a way to only show Tasks with a current (or overdue) due date and hide the future ones.

I hope this functionality can be added!!
