Ability to star mark the tasks as rolled out in Google Tasks#200

Google Tasks has recently rolled out the feature of star marking the tasks from different list so that all starred tasks appear in a single list called Starred Tasks. Please bring that feature to Taskboard, it’s a game changing feature for many of us.

Unfortunately the current version of the API doesn’t allow us to implement this feature.

We will support it as soon as Google makes it available for developers.

I use a system of unicode characters to star mark my boards levels of need. I know is diffrerent from what ur saying, but may help some way :)

Is the feature for showing a list of starred tasks what is marked as currently impossible? Or simply adding a star to a task? While the Google Tasks view of seeing all starred in one list would be great, allowing the ability to add/remove a star to a task in the app would be a good start. What is currently impossile isn’t clear.

Without being able to shortlist all my lists into what I need to do NOW it’s fairly pointless.

So another year passes and I repeat “hopefully you can solve this issue soon.”

PS - regarding the lack of ‘stars’ feature in Google Tasks, and so not being able to create a separate priority list wihin a board, a workaround is assigning a date of ‘today’ to all priority tasks across all lists.

BUT when doing this the ‘sort by ‘due date’ ONLY applies to the one single list.

Without ANY API CHANGES FROM GOOGLE taskboard could write code to enable all tasks dates ‘today’ to show in one new list called TODAY.

Many have written about this (My Day funcion / starred etc) but the taskbord response has been to blame the API from Google

We appreciate the new ‘today’ list will not be backwards compatible with Google tasks and so we will not see it there. But we JUST DON’T CARE.

I would pay if this ‘today’ list taking all ‘today’ dated tasks in all my lists into one summary list.
And I would DEFINTIELY pay if the same could be offered across all my boards.
